The Sentimentalist cites Ross Gay, his mother, Robin Wall Kimmerer, and pal Ruth Zwald on gratitude. And also The Streets of London. The ping pong match in his brain on any given day….

  1. Jack,

Thanks for your voice today. Gratitude and reciprocity and dreary skies here. L and I are both quarantined with Covid : (…..and it hit me as I have been finishing up with a several week bout of Influenza A. So, another 9 or 10 days. Our symptoms are not extreme, but they are certain. Life feels ragged and I was glad to hear of Julie knitting and some spring bits in your poem. I do not wish time away, but spring is welcome. As always, thanks for being there.

    Stay well.

    Love, Ginny

  2. I want to thank you Jack for the lyrics from “The Streets of London.”

What a powerful message! Ralph Mc Till took my hand, while leading me down the Streets of London. On our journey he opened my eyes to our forgotten and very lonely souls!

It gave me a reality check for the Post Holiday Blues I’ve felt the past two days. I have much to be grateful for, and no reason for Feeling the Blues once Ralph put my soul into their shoes!

We all need a reality check, from time to time, and this one brought me back to reality. It was a big help. I appreciate your suggestion.
